After two announcements crammed full of exciting headliners and other acts, today (31st March) the southern coastal beach festival has added around twenty more bands and musicians to its already impressive line-up.

Although the headliners are predominantly alternative acts, the rest of the performers cover a wide range of genres – highlighting this is the inclusion of London rapper Wretch 32. The grime star is well known for tracks including ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘6 Words’, and joins other previously announced rappers Giggs and Stormzy on the bill. Idris Elba is the lead actor in classy, brooding crime series Luther, but when he has a break from acting he also DJs and will be bringing his set to Newquay this summer.

Another DJ who will be playing is Armand Van Helden – a global megastar and nominated for Grammy awards, he too will be putting on a party for the fans at Boardmasters this year. Another recognisable name new to the line-up is indie-rock group The Amazons – gaining a reputation after being included on BBC’s Sound of 2017 shortlist, they are very energetic live and are set to alight and delight the crowd this August.

Other names joining the line-up include Natty, Will Joseph Cook, Will Heard, Raye, Digital Farm Animals, and you can find the rest of the names in the latest line-up poster.

Not just content with announcing twenty plus acts, the latest announcement also includes the introduction of this year’s ‘Beach Sessions’ performers – held on the Wednesday and Thursday of the festival before the main music and surfing events kick off, the 9th August will see Dreadzone and The Stalks perform, with Slightly Stoopid, Landon McNamara and Jon & Roy appearing on the 10th.

Tickets are still available to purchase for 2017’s Boardmasters, with the link to access them here.
