The Lovely Eggs are a band who have gone from strength to strength. They do everything themselves and have got better and better after each album. Their most recent album, This Is Eggland, was glorious, exhilarating, and full of attitude. It earned them a brilliant headline performance at Indietracks festival. The band release their sixth album, I am Moron in April, with the lead single ‘This Decision’ dropping earlier this month.

‘This Decision’ is a scathing attack on modern consumerism, and our lack of choice in society. “I’ll take it, I want it, it’s all fine”, snarls Holly over thundering drums and heavy guitar.

It’s brilliant to see how they’ve taken their sound towards a more psychedelic territory but still retained their infectious melody. ‘This Decision’ pulls no punches and is a seething ball of rage. If the rest of I Am Moron is like this, then we’re probably looking at one of the albums of the year.
