Track Review: Karma Seeker // VANT

VANT are doing their best to turn a lot of heads with their infectious form of grunge-drenched rock, and they’re doing a very good job of it. Latest track Karma Seeker carries on from their successful formula of combining a mixture of eclectic riffs and drum beats with lyrics that really hit home – and more often than not they have a slight (or very obvious) political sway.

The track, which at 3 minutes and 55 seconds is colossal for them, initially lulls you into a false sense of security with the presence of a slightly more reserved acoustic guitar, a rarity for the band.

However any presumptions of VANT taking a relaxed approach are quickly banished, as lead singer Mattie Vant explodes into action with his rip-roaring lyrics soaring alongside the gritty string section.

Karma Seeker once again serves up a hearty helping of guitar-led clamour and personifies what VANT are all about. If you haven’t heard these guys yet, then get listening.
