Building on the hype already created by Honeymoon, Lana Del Rey has released another track from her upcoming album; ‘High By The Beach’ is even more explosive.

This song integrates pop back beats with the singer’s iconic hypnotic rhythm and surreal style vocals, and the chorus of “All I wanna do is get high by the beach” is just about as summery as Del Rey gets. This song might not appeal to those that preferred the Born to Die era as ‘High By The Beach’ continues on from Ultraviolence as a self-expressive creation, rather than a mass-audience pop track.

In this video, we see an interesting new style of Del Rey’s that contrasts with her usual “home movie” design; the camera follows her around her beach-side home, tying in with the theme of the problematic paparazzi shown in the helicopter outside her window. Del Rey fulfils her usual quota of dancing and looking generally glamorous for the camera, however in this video there is the welcome addition of action as she finally rids herself of the paps by blowing them up with a slightly steampunk-Nerf-gun looking weapon.

Details of when the next track will be released have not yet been released.
