Track Review: Foster // Fake Swans

Fake Swans have gained a reputation for writing dark, moody rock songs. They’ve been played on BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing Lincolnshire, as well as gigging all around London.

The band swapped their original female vocalist with Pete Wiltschinsky’s powerful pipes. This works to a tremendous effect on their comeback single ‘Foster’ because it works well with the dark guitars, staying true to their sound while exploring new ideas.

A vocalist brings a huge dynamic to a band, so when some bands change them, their sound has to compliment the new style. Fake Swans make this seem effortless and have crafted a brilliant track in ‘Foster’ that will make you fall in love with them.
