The newest release from Bristol’s alt-pop quartet, Moon Club, is ‘Dressed to Impress’, a mellow, seductive track that follows similar easy rhythms as their earlier releases.

The track is comprised of 80s-style synth notes and an overarching bass line, which result in the smoothness of the song. The nostalgic tone of the track, honouring experimental indie/techno 80s inspirations, cumulates in the New Wave sound Moon Club have emulated in the back-catalogue of their tracks. ‘Dressed to Impress’ is a particular triumph of that effort, with the band immersing this song in the sound of that genre while creating something entirely current in feel. ‘Dressed to Impress’ is a blend of genres and inspirations, with Moon Club as the proud craftsmen of such a track.

The band has spent their summer playing Dot to Dot, Secret Garden Party and other festivals alike. Check the band’s site, Facebook or Twitter for gig updates, or attend the single launch of ‘Dressed to Impress’ in Bristol today, on 28th October.
