Track Review: Daggers // Blush

One of the most exciting tracks to be released over the past month is ‘Daggers’ by indie rock four-piece Blush. With its honest lyrics, a marching but danceable beat and an almost synthetic guitar riff, it’s a song that flows together so perfectly it’s somewhat hard to believe that this is only the band’s first demo.

Opening with the line “I think about leaving tonight”, the song pulsates with catchy energy and simply demands feelings from its listener, be they of happiness, hope, or of wistful nostalgia for the drawn-out nights spent wandering the streets and dancing with friends. The vocals from lead singer Ben are amazingly controlled yet still manage to allow us to feel all that he’s putting into it. It’s a song that just makes you want to get up, go out and do something, and sometimes that’s enough.

If this is only a demo, we can’t wait to see what happens when these guys actually get into the studio. You can find Blush over at Soundcloud, Facebook and Twitter.
