6. Slaves – Shangri Hell, Saturday

They stormed the John Peel stage and graced us with a secret set at BBC Introducing, but what better setting for the heirs to the punk throne than the fire-breathing weirdness of Shangri La at half past midnight? The Kent two-piece thrashed their way through songs from their new record, Are You Satisfied?, sending spectators into pogo-ing, shout-a-long madness. Without a doubt, the most exciting band of the decade so far.
