8. Future Islands – Other Stage, Sunday
Probably the most eye catching performance of the weekend came from this Baltimore three-piece who scored arguably the most magnificent single of last year with ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’. But one-hit-wonders they are certainly not, as the deafening crowd sang and danced along in tandem with frontman Samuel T. Herring on every song of their set. Grooving their way through fan favourites from last year’s Singles, along with new single ‘The Chase’, Future Islands continue to go from strength to strength, and this sun-drenched set was the perfect way to bookend a year that’s seen their meteoric rise to fame.
