The Night Café
Despite the young age of the band members, their lyricism displays class – punchy lines such as ‘times change, now you’re moving on / while I sit smoking lonely cigarette in an empty room with the lights off’ in ‘Mixed Signals’ describe feelings of unrequited love and heartbreak fittingly. Then there’s the clever use of drugs as metaphors to describe the feelings they have for a girl, in ‘The Way of Mary’. Their indie sound is buoyant, carefree and summery, and despite their upbeat happy sound prevalent in all their tracks, all their songs are unique and special in their own way. Other songs the group have released includes ‘Addicted’, ‘Time’, and ‘You Change With The Seasons’.
