Divorced, beheaded, DRIVE!

It has been announced that Six the Musical will begin “drive-in” performances throughout the UK.

The theatre industry has been hit especially hard during the ongoing pandemic, but new government guidelines will permit drive in shows. Three-hundred vehicles can attend each show with a maximum of seven people per vehicle. There will be space adjacent to the vehicle for those attending to sit, have a picnic and enjoy the show.

All shows will be following social distancing guidelines. However, you will be experiencing the full show with light displays and large screens. The show will play with the backing band on stage, full choreography and costumes – everything that you usually have in the theatre!

The show will open in Milton Keynes on 4th August and run until 8th August. It will then go to Liverpool (11 to 16 August), Leeds (11 to 16 August), Bolton (18 to 23 August), Teeside (18 to 23 August), Lincoln (25 to 27 August), Cheltenham (29 to 30 August), Bristol (25 to 30 August), Edinburgh (1 to 3 September), Birmingham (5 to 10 September), and London’s Colesdale Farm (8 to 12 September).

The cast will be a mixture of the West End and touring cast. The drive-in shows have created fifty jobs for stage managers, musicians, technicians and freelancers. It is the creation of these jobs which is key for an industry which has been hit incredibly hard by COVID-19.

The drive-in show is a great way to allow the theatre industry to open up again – buy tickets here.
