Drew McOnie’s groundbreaking adaptation of Jekyll & Hyde will be free to stream on YouTube from 5th August, courtesy of independent not-for-profit production theatre The Old Vic.

The dance thriller combines original music by Grant Olding with McOnie’s Oliver Award-winning choreography and directing. The production was designed by Soutra Gilmour, with sound by Sebastian Frost and lighting by Robert Howell.

Casting for the production was done by Will Burton, with Daniel Collins and Will Hodges starring as Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde respectively. Rachel Muldoon also stars as Dahlia, with the original cast cast also including Anabel Kutay, Ebony Molina, Fraya Rowley, Alexzandra Sarmiento, Jason Winter,  Ashley Andrews, Joao Carolino, Carrie Taylor Johnson and Barnaby Winter.

The production, which includes the original cast, will be streamed on The Old Vic’s YouTube channel for free. It will go live at 7pm BST on Wednesday 5th August and be available to view until 7pm Wednesday 12th August.

The streaming of this production is one of many full-length Old Vic archive recordings that are being hosted for free on The Old Vic’s YouTube channel.

Although these shows are free to watch, The Old Vic are asking for donations in what is an especially uncertain time for the arts following the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
