The winners of the 2022 Golden Joystick Awards have been announced.
Celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2022, the Golden Joystick Awards allow fans to celebrate their favourite games of the past year across a wide variety of categories. Hosted by Laura Bailey and Troy Baker, the show opened with a special video looking back at how both the gaming industry and the Golden Joystick awards have evolved since their inception.
Taking the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year award was Elden Ring, which also won Best Audio Design, Best Multiplayer Game, and the Critic’s Choice Award. Other winners of the night included The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom winning Most Wanted Game and Cult of The Lamb being named Best Indie Game, while Manon Gage was named Best Performer for her performance as Marissa Marcel in Immortality.
