Sunday Soul

The popular Sunday Soul concert series will be returning to the Chiswick Playhouse from 25 May, as part of the already announced Recharged Festival.

The show last ran at the Playhouse in December, and the new production will star a number of well-known stars from across musical theatre who will each feature in their own personalised performances. The line up includes Hamilton’s Sharon Rose, Rent’s Ahmed Hamad, and Hadestown’s Shaq Taylor.

Musical direction comes courtesy of Dominic Nyarambi, Chris Poon, and Enoch, among others.

Mark Perry, Executive Director of Chiswick Playhouse, commented that “following the success of the first series of Sunday Soul in Autumn 2020, we are delighted to be able to bring this popular series back. We are excited to have such an unbelievably talented line up and cannot wait for you all to come to these special evenings.”

Recharged Festival will also feature performances ranging across theatre, magic and cabaret. Comedian Andy Parsons, Downton Abbey’s Phyllis Logan, and Loose Women’s Judi Love are all set to appear. The festival will also include Bare Bones, a new series of readings that will feature no set, costumes, or lighting. Instead, performers will read plays directly to the audience.

Sunday Soul will run for the entirety of Recharged Festival, from 25 May until 27 June. Details of line-up rotations and tickets for the festival are available here
