It’s safe to say that since their 2013 release of Holy Fire, Foals have exploded back onto the scene that has felt their absence. New album What Went Down is set to be released on August 28th, and this single is just a snippet of their new heavier, more rigorous sound.

“I buried my heart in a hole in the ground”, almost instantly the well-known sounds of lead singer Yannis Philippakis’ vocals come into play. “I wanted to tap into my inner madman”, Yannis reveals in a press statement. The new cut revels in its savage state, laden with heavy riffs and an intense paced drum beat throughout.

From ‘What Went Down’ to ‘What Comes Next’, there is no doubt that this track will leave you in anticipation as Foals have arguably become one of the most consistent bands Britain has to offer.
