This entire episode could be reduced to one of those montages from rom-coms where the two love interests play on fairground amusements, do illegal stuff like breaking and entering, and stealing wine (which they get away with because they’re the whitest couple on the planet). This episode makes excruciatingly apparent the fact that Shane is Too Nice, which makes it hard to buy into his and Sophia’s relationship from the outset.
