9) Spector
Having recently released their highly impressive second album, Spector were one of the most highly anticipated indie bands at Reading 2015. Playing the NME/Radio 1 stage on Saturday afternoon, they found themselves in the tough position of having to follow Slaves who had thrilled the hungover, yet surprisingly excitable, crowd. However, the U.K. five piece did not disappoint. They stepped up to the plate with their anthemic guitar-driven indie pop, and incited several sing-along moments from the people who were lucky enough to have been there. One particularly special moment came when they played their début single, ‘Never Fade Away.’ This pleased the crowd a great deal, and appeared to elicit similar emotions from the band.
