Weekend Recovery are set to make a huge splash in 2018. They play a brand of massive rock ‘n’ roll reminiscent of AC/DC, and Oasis with pop sensibilities, which has won them praise from numerous outlets such as NME, Indie Central Music, and BBC Introducing. Having previously supported Hands off Gretel and Malaysian indie rockers Hujan, the band are set to embark on their biggest UK tour to date in support their debut album Get What You Came For on 17th February, taking in festivals including Camden Rocks Presents and Rebellion Festival.

Get What You Came For has its roots in garage punk, however the band have taken a heavier approach and feel more assertive and tighter as a unit. It’s a collection of extremely personal songs, which reflect on the anger, and frustration singer Lori experienced over the past year. It’s backed by some aggressive instrumentation that captures the listeners’ attention, laying the emotions bare for all to see.

Get What You Came For is released on 17th February, while you can catch Weekend Recovery in a town near you before they blow up.
