The sprawling Leeds location and tourist beauty spot, Roundhay Park, will play host to its first ever music, food and family entertainment festival on 17th September in partnership with John Lewis.
It is set to draw thousands of people to its lush green fields next month, with the Mancunian rock band James taking the headline slot, Scottish royalty Primal Scream also making an appearance, and grungy four-piece Wolf Alice preparing to wow the Yorkshire crowd with their tight set of indie tunes from debut album My Love Is Cool.
They’ll be joined by an array of other bands, a food village with celebrity chefs, and even a storytelling stage to keep the kids occupied.
James have enjoyed a hugely successful career since the 1980s and have gone on to play various festivals, most recently storming Glastonbury’s The Other Stage this summer, and will undoubtedly be welcomed with open arms by the friendly Yorkshire crowd.
The last time Roundhay Park saw this scale of event was when Robbie Williams performed there 10 years ago, and local residents are excited to see their beloved park reclaimed by the coming-together of music.
Tickets for On Roundhay are available from £45.00 + booking fees on SeeTickets, children under 12 go free.
