Now in its 10th year, Field Day returns with what is arguably its strongest and most diverse line-up to date. The London-based city event, nestled away in the heart of Victoria Park, is renowned for showcasing some of the alternative music scene’s hottest names and 2016 is no exception. Whether you’re after some of indie’s new darlings or something a bit more established, it’s all there to be found.

This year’s headliners arrive in the form of the esteemed PJ Harvey, who needs no introduction, and James Blake, who’s fresh from releasing his 3rd studio album The Colour in Anything. If big names are what you’re after then you’re in for a treat, with the likes of Mystery Jets, Fat White Family and The Temper Trap all set to perform over the weekend. They’re joined by grime deity Skepta, who is set to unleash latest album Konnichiwa upon festival revellers for the first time – expect some mammoth Boy Better Know guest appearances.

The musical mainstays will also be joined by some of the brightest new talent, with Blossoms, Novelist, Mura Masa, Formation and Declan McKenna all being named on the festival roster. For the dance heads in attendance, there’ll also be sets from some of the most esteemed underground DJs and producers around, including performances from Four Tet, Jackmaster b2b Gerd Janson and Mount Kimbie.

Don’t think that the festival is restricted simply to music, as there’s much more on offer. If you’re feeling a bit gluttonous there’s a competitive eating contest to be won, as well as an endless number of themed games that anyone can participate in. If you desire some of the finest street food then the festival caters for your needs perfectly. Venn Street Market from Clapham Common are back for their 6th consecutive year and bring their well-renowned cuisine with them.

Field Day is set to take place on the 11th & 12th June in Victoria Park, London.

Tickets are priced at £94 for the weekend, although individual day tickets can be purchased, and can be found here.
