Bringing the streets of Los Angeles to the stages of the UK and Ireland, Pretty Woman: The Musical has announced the cast for its upcoming tour. Following its run at the Savoy Theatre in London, the show will begin its touring production in October in Birmingham.

In the lead role as Vivian Ward will be Amber Davies, best known for her roles in 9 to 5: The Musical and Bring It On. She currently stars as Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre. Opposite her as Edward Lewis will be Oliver Savile. Savile’s theatre credits include roles in some of the biggest musicals on the West End such as Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, and Cats.

Television presenter Ore Oduba will be stepping in to play Happy Man/Mr Thompson, following his starring role as Brad in the 50th anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. As well as previously winning Strictly Come Dancing, his musical credits include Curtains and Grease. Rounding off the main cast is Olivier-nominated actress Natalie Paris, who will be playing the streetwise and savvy Kit De Luca. Paris is best known for originating the role of Jane Seymour in Six on the West End, a role in which she is currently touring with the US production.

Based on the rom-com starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman: The Musical has a book by Garry Marshall (who directed the film) and J.F Lawton. Its original music and lyrics are composed by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
