The line-up for this year’s Boardmasters is already pretty spectacular, but even more sparkle has been added to it, with the announcement of over sixty more acts joining the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, alt-J, and Jamiroquai this summer. Again, there’s a mixture of plenty of new talent, alongside a few names everyone will have heard of, joining the line-up.
With a number of chart-topping albums under his belt, folky popstar Newton Faulkner is a singer everyone in the family will love – everyone knows the words to his hits which include a cover of Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’, and the delightful ‘Dream Catch Me’, and both should make his setlist at Boardmasters this year.
Line-ups for individual stages have also been announced this time round – The Land of Saints stage focuses on staging bands making alternative and rock music, and several stars will perform on it in August. One such name is Lower than Atlantis – combining rock with punk elements, the English rockers achieved their greatest commercial and critical success to date with the release of last album Nothing but Thieves. Other new rock names performing include Fickle Friends and Honeyblood.
There is also the return of the Net Loft stage, featuring new names in music who look set to have massive careers in the future – some of the many acts on the stage include She Drew The Gun, Get Inuit, Wild Front, Ider and Banfi.
There are countless other additions to the festival including the names above, and all feature on Boardmaster’s official poster. Tickets are still available but no surprise are selling quickly – to buy them check out Boardmaster’s website here.
