Declan Welsh and The Decadent West

Declan Welsh and The Decadent West are a band that have been making waves since they released their debut track ‘Mirrors’ in 2017. Since then the boys have only from stride to stride, culminating with the release of their debut album Cheaply Bought, Expensively Sold in 2019. The band has seen mass acclaim for their brand of indie rock, as they look to steal the show. They have youthful energy throughout the album which is easy to see, as they have created some of the most exciting and creative songs of the last few years. A song that embodies the band is the fun and catchy ‘No Fun’, a real headbanger that would bring a smile to anyone’s face. 2020 was still a busy year for the group, as they released their new EP We Wish You All The Best, a truly enjoyable 15 minutes which continues their trend of making truly great music. Hopefully 2021 will see the band back on stage, as they are scheduled to perform at TRNSMT where they are sure to steal the show.

The Vegan Leather

The Vegan Leather have been producing excellent music for the last few years. Their art-pop style has captured imagination and seen them become one of the most sought out bands on the scene. A breakout 2019 saw the band burst into the populist with the release of their acclaimed debut album Poor Girls / Broken Boys, an album which not only received praise from influential figures such as Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos and BBC Radio 1‘s Jack Saunders, but also led to the band winning ‘Best Live Act’ at the 2019 Scottish Alternative Music Awards. The band took the majority of 2020 off, but returned at the end of the year with a double release with ‘Gloaming’ and ‘Sanctum Sound’. Both tracks were exactly the palate cleanser that 2020 needed as these upbeat tracks were songs that simply gave everyone a big smile.
