Back to the Future: The Musical has announced its new cast for its second-year run at the Adelphi Theatre in London. The critically acclaimed show, now booking until February 2023, will see the new cast members join from 17 August 2022.

Roger Bart remains in the role of Dr Emmett Brown, while Ben Joyce joins in the lead role of Marty McFly. Joyce, a recent graduate from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, made his West End debut last year, starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys. Previous Love Island winner Amber Davies will play Lorraine Baines McFly, fresh from her turn in the UK tour of Bring it On: The Musical.

Oliver Nicholas joins as George McFly, Jordan Benjamin as Goldie Wilson, Harry Jobson as Biff Tannen, Sophie Naglik as Jennifer Parker, and Gary Trainor as Strickland. A number of new cast members are also set to join the ensemble.

The show, which won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, is based on the 1985 classic film of the same name, which starred Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. The book is written by Bob Gale, with new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. It also utilises iconic pop songs from the original film soundtrack, such as ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘Johnny B. Goode’.

Back to the Future: The Musical has been seen by over half a million people across London and Manchester, and has broken box-office records at the Adelphi Theatre. The musical has also recently won a London Lifestyle Award.
