Concierto de Aranjuez // Joaquín Rodrigo

I think I’m right in saying that I’m the first writer in this feature to include a classical piece. It’s my favourite piece of music, and its endless versatility makes it perennially listen-able. Sadly, it has suffered somewhat for being one of the few pieces for which Classic FM have obtained a licence, so it’s heavily overplayed, but I still love it. On my iPod, on repeat, this is the music that I work to when I have to get something done and can’t be listening to background noise. If you like it, I would recommend the John Williams version, or my personal favourite, a recording by James Last’s orchestra. The addition of brass was a masterstroke.
