While most kids get into punk for a short amount of time and then grow out of it, I was one of the people who just fell further down the rabbit hole. Because of bands like Good Charlotte or Blink-182, I found bands like the Descendents, older Rise Against, NOFX, Less Than Jake, and any other assortment of punk or ska you can think of. The Descendents are particularly important because just about every band I have ever been inspired by has been influenced by them. This band perfectly represents the style of music I’ve played for over ten years now, and they seem to make it timeless, just how it’s always felt to me. Thanks Descendents, you ruined my life in all of the best ways.
