What’s My Age Again? // blink-182

Ah, pop punk. I firmly believe that everybody has an emo/pop punk phase at some point in his or her life. For me, I didn’t look conventionally ‘emo’, but I did, however, for a long time listen exclusively to blink-182. During this ‘emo phase’ I did discover some bands that I still love now (Neck Deep, Real Friends, Modern Baseball, The Story So Far), and blink-182 are one of my favourite bands ever, too. ‘What’s My Age Again?’ was the first song of theirs I heard, and I immediately fell head over heels for them. It still stands as the third most played song on my Last.fm account, with 91 plays. I think what made me love this band even more was the fact that the boy I really liked at the time was also a big fan of theirs. Whether you’re a fan of dick jokes or not, blink-182 are still one of the most accessible bands ever, and if you haven’t listened to them properly yet, just give them a chance and you might end up surprising yourself like I did.
