Lego has revealed they are working on Animal Crossing Lego sets.

Nintendo posted a teaser of the sets on social media on Thursday 5 October. The short video shows Rosie, Bunny, Marshal, Kappa, Fauna, Julian, Isabelle and Tom Nook. The characters watch a present attached to a balloon float up, while fruit trees are visible in the background.

The news was met with excitement from fans. YouTuber Zack Scott commented: “This is awesome, as long as there’s no Eugene”, while Twitch streamer and YouTuber RTGame said: “Oh no my finances”.

There are no official details about the kits or the release dates, however, FalconBricks posted on Twitter that five kits ranging from $14.99-$74.99 are rumoured to be released on 1 March 2024.

A fan-created version of Nook’s Cranny from Animal Crossing New Horizons was highlighted alongside 34 other creations in the Lego Ideas Blog in September 2020. These ideas are submitted to the Lego Ideas programme, and Lego reviews the ones that receive the most support from other builders.

Lego has previously teamed up with Nintendo to create Super Mario Lego sets. The first collaboration was announced in 2020, and since then the collection has continued to grow, with seven being released at the start of this year.

Other Lego Gaming collaborations include Sonic, Donkey Kong, and Minecraft themed sets, alongside an Nintendo Entertainment System, and a PAC-MAN Arcade.
