Microsoft has announced that Halo Infinite will be delayed until 2021.
Releasing a statement regarding the delay, developer 343 Industries explained that “The decision to shift our release is the result of multiple factors that have contributed to development challenges, including the ongoing COVID-related impacts affecting us all this year.”
Halo Infinite was originally scheduled to be among the launch titles for the upcoming Xbox Series X. Microsoft has confirmed, however, that the console will be releasing in November 2020 although no specific date was given.
When Halo Infinite does release on Xbox Series X, players with Game Pass will have the game included as part of their subscription and the game will feature a free-to-play multiplayer mode. As of the time of the announcement, no information about a potential new release date was given.
