After a four-year absence, the Gamer’s Edition of the Guinness World Records has returned.
The brand-new edition for 2025 celebrates the biggest achievements in the world of gaming and is packed with gaming stats, and trivia spanning all eras of gaming, from the classic arcade to modern consoles and everything in between.
In this year’s book, the Top100 Greatest Gaming World Records are revealed, carefully selected by a team of gaming experts. The annual also debuts the GWR Gamer’s Edition Awards – recognising achievements in the gaming community including Best New Game, Best Esports Athlete and Best New Soundtrack.
There’s also a selection of in-depth spreads in this year’s edition, looking at topics including where gaming meets LEGO, Gaming in the Multiverse, Inclusive gaming and even the History of Videogame Spaceships.
So, to find out which game has the world’s fastest speedrun, or which franchise can count the most prolific collectors among their fanbase – or which cosplayer has the accolade of the Largest Mechanical Wings on a Cosplay Costume – gamers can pick up their copies now from local retailers or via the Guinness World Records online store.
