The winners of The Game Awards 2018 have been announced. Celebrating the best games of 2018, the awards honour achievement in a wide variety of fields, from design and direction to narrative and performance, while also celebrating the gaming community with a number of awards for eSports achievement.

Red Dead Redemption 2 scooped four awards, including one for Roger Clark for his portrayal of protagonist Arthur Morgan, but it was God of War that won the coveted Game of the Year award, one of three trophies for Sony Santa Monica’s epic.

Alongside all the awards, the ceremony also featured a number of world exclusive and premiere trailers for upcoming titles and content, including a new Marvel Ultimate Alliance title coming to Switch in 2019, the previously leaked Far Cry: New Dawn, new content for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite and Rocket League, the first DLC character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, new trailers for Dead by Daylight, Psychonauts 2, Crackdown 3 and Anthem, rounding out with the official announcements of Mortal Kombat 11, Scavengers, Hades, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey and the much anticipated Crash Team Racing remaster.
