Fans gathered at the PlayStation Experience to get a first look at some of the VR titles.

During the Keynote Presentation in San Francisco, some of the titles heading to PlayStation’s virtual reality platform were unveiled.

After an on stage demonstration from Dr Richard Marks – which didn’t go exactly as planned – there were a whole host of titles for players to see:

  • The rail shooter music game series Rez will come to PlayStation VR in the form of Rez Infinite, which is being produced by Tetsuya Mizuguchi at his new studio, Enhance Games.
  • Eagle Flight comes from Ubisoft Studios, putting players in the skies alongside other users or solo as the birds discover various locations.
  • The Modern Zombie Taxi Co. is a comedy driving simulation set in a society of zombies in the aftermath of the apocalypse.
  • Set in a world where robots have taken over all human jobs, Job Simulator puts players into a ‘work’ environment they can interact with using the VR system.
  • Golem, from new studio Highwire Games, puts players in the shoes of both the legendary Golem creature, but also into that of it’s master.
  • Ace Combat 7 is an aerial combat title for PlayStation 4 that will support VR gameplay as well.
  • 100ft Robot Golf sees whole cities turned into battlegrounds as the titular robots do battle…with golf clubs. Players can either go solo, play online co-op or play with friends on split screen ‘couch co-op’.
  • Psychonauts: The Rhombus of Ruin is a new standalone title in the series that will be exclusive to PlayStation VR.

Later at the event, there was also the announcements of new titles Classroom Aquatic, set in a school for dolphins, Distance, a racing game where the restrictions of being on a track no longer apply, and Eclipse, a game where the goals are simple – find fragments of a supernatural relic, explore the past of the mysterious dark planet location and then escape the planet.

Playstation VR is scheduled to be released in 2016. Watch the Tech Demo below.
