Square Enix announced the news ahead of this week’s E3 event.
The remaster of Final Fantasy XII will be coming to PlayStation in 2017. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age was announced by publishers Square Enix ahead of the game’s playable demo at this week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
The HD remaster will include a new soundtrack – with the option for players to switch between the two scores – along with remasters of the characters and cutscenes. The game will also include the Zodiac job system, which was previously unavailable in Western releases, and a new trial mode. This new mode will allow players to “take on monsters and enemies in up to 100 successive battles.”
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 in 2017
