Fans got a first look at the next-gen remake at the PlayStation Experience.
Square Enix have unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Telling the story of Cloud Strife, an ex-mercenary who joins forces with Avalance to stop the Shinra corporation from draining all the energy from the world, this retelling of the original 1997 PlayStation title has been built from scratch to utilise new technologies available to the developers.
Along with the trailer, there was also news from Square Enix that the game “will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience”.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on PlayStation 4. Watch the trailer below.
