2K Games gave fans a new look at their next IP title.
The newest title from the Borderlands creators, Battleborn takes players to the edge of the universe. By the last star in the universe, Solus, factions of warriors battle for control. Players can choose from one of 25 different warriors, each with their own unique skills, abilities and weapons. During the presentation, players got a look at Toby – a penguin who uses a giant mechanical suit of armour to fight his corner.
There was also news of the game’s open beta – where Toby will be exclusively available on PlayStation 4 – which will take place early next year. As a bonus, those who take part in the beta will be able to access a special bonus player when the game launches. No details on this character was released other than it will be developed in the time between the end of the beta and the game’s release.
Battleborn is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on May 3 2016. Watch the Toby reveal trailer below.
