Further Casting Announced For ‘Elf The Musical’ At London’s Dominion Theatre

Tom Chambers will be returning to the West End as Walter Hobbs, the rediscovered father of Buddy, inElf the Musical.

Tom Chambers’ credits include signature roles as Sam Strachan and Max Tyler in BBC dramas Holby City and Waterloo Road respectively.He also acted in Father Brown (BBC), Top Hat (West End), and White Christmas (West End). 

He will play the character of Walter Hobbs alongside Kim Ismay as Debs, Nicholas Pound as Santa, and Dermot Canavan as Store Manager. They join the previously announced cast—Simon Lipkin and Georgina Castle as Buddy and Jovie.  

Produced by Temple Live Entertainment, this musical will make a strictly limited 8-week appearance at the Dominion Theatre, beginning previews on 14 November.

Based on the beloved 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf the Musical features a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, with songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin. The new production will be directed by Philip McKinley, with original set and costume design by Tim Goodchild, and choreography by Liam Steel.

Elf is the comical and charming tale of Buddy, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s sack as a baby in an orphanage and is transported to the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf! His enormous size and poor toy-making abilities finally cause him to face the truth and realise he’ll never belong in the North Pole. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York in search of his birth father and true identity. Along the way he helps a cosmopolitan New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
