The three-day Dot to Dot festival returns to Manchester this year, before travelling onto Bristol on May 28 and Nottingham on May 29, bringing the best new upcoming artists of 2016.

The festival, created in 2005, has put acts such as The xx, Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons, Florence & The Machine and Jake Bugg on the map.

Catfish and the Bottlemen, James Bay and Years and Years, have also performed at the event before reaching mainstream fame.

This year’s line-up hosts a variety of promising artists, with The Mystery Jets, Augustines and The Temper Trap, performing as headliners.

For the Manchester venture of the festival, Spring King, Delamere and Pale Waves grace the stage. The acts are modern and innovative, showing the grand scale of talent in the city…

Here are ten acts it would be criminal to miss out on.

Mystery Jets

The post-punk four-piece, hailing from London, are no strangers to Dot to Dot, making this year their fourth appearance at the festival. It may seem tedious but with their long-awaited album Curve Of The Earth having been released in January, their sound has evolved becoming more psychedelic and fresh.

With their esteemed reputation, they are sure to be crowd-pleasers and are an admirable choice of headliners.
