New Scottish festival, TRNSMT, will be replacing T in the Park this summer as the former festival takes a yearlong hiatus.

Held on Glasgow Green from July 7-9, the same weekend T is traditionally held, the new festival will focus on indie rock music and is expected to have a turnout of 35,000.

Headliners for TRNSMT include Kasabian and homegrown favourites Biffy Clyro. Radiohead will perform on the Friday, returning to Scotland for the first time in seven years.

Joining them are Belle and Sebastian, London Grammar, Twin Atlantic, Two Door Cinema Club, George Ezra and Welsh rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Other acts include indie outfit Blossoms, singer-songwriter Rag’n’Bone Man and ‘special guests’, The 1975 who will be rushing in from Manchester’s prestigious Parklife festival.

The most significant difference between T in the Park and TRNSMT is that the latter will have no overnight camping. Instead fans will have to book hotels, but with such an impeccable lineup, it shouldn’t deter many fans from missing out.

Tickets will be on sale from Friday 3rd February. For more information, go on the website: http://trnsmtfest.com
