‘What’s more exciting than festival season?’ I hear you ask desperately; the question on everyone’s lips. ‘How many do I have enough money/ time/ strength to hit up this year?’ I hear you frantically questioning yourself, searching for the meatiest line up.

Well, look no further. I have found you a festival that is not only located in London – a city as large as it is easy to find your way too and from in that pre festival mildly intoxicated buzz or post festival daze – but the event is also currently only a day long. Helpfully placed on a Saturday this year too, so you won’t even have to take a single sick day.

The festival is called Flying Vinyl Festival, bought to us by the Vinyl distribution company Flying Vinyl, and is taking place at Hackney Shapes, Hackney Wick on the 9th of April 2016.

The line up is, currently, ridiculous. The positively brilliant kind of ridiculous I hasten to add. Featuring up-and-coming artists on the indie scene along side those who have already made a lot of noise for themselves, you can expect to see the likes of Swim Deep, Kagoule, The Magic Gang, The Jar Family, Yonaka and The Amazons live in front of your faces, among others.

The cost for tickets to this event is currently £22.00, so there are honestly very limited excuses available not to be there. On babysitting duty that day? Bring them with you. Live far away? Road trip! Broke? You are not going to find a festival of this quality, never mind an event with this much guarantee of a good time, for any less. If you do, I would like to know about it.

Tickets for the Flying Vinyl Festival can be bought from Ticketweb.
