White Room // Cream

Whilst not one of the staple guitar solos of all time, ‘White Room’ by Cream delivers on so many levels. For a song that encompasses multiple solos throughout (thanks to the genius that is Eric Clapton), it’s the solo that erupts at the 4 minute mark that really grabs you. That solo accompanied by Jack Bruce’s powerful, raw vocals and visceral bass playing, and Ginger Baker’s jazz infused drumming sets the band apart as one of the greats. Words by Sophie McEvoy
