The upcoming adaptation of the literary classic The Picture of Dorian gray has announced the rest of its all-star cast ahead of the show’s debut next month.

The performance has been specially made for online viewing by Henry Filloux-Bennett and Tamara Harvey, directors of What a Carve Up.

The new Dorian Gray adaptation will be available to stream from 16 to 31 March.

The latest announcement confirmed the remainder of the cast, which will include Alfred Enoch as Harry Wotton, Emma McDonald as Sybil Vane, and Joanna Lumley as Lady Narborough.

Russell Tovey and Stephen Fry are also set to appear as Basil Hallward and The Interviewer respectively. Fionn Whitehead was confirmed as the production’s lead character last month.

Director Tamara Harvey said “when trying to tell stories in Covid times…the thing you need from your cast more even than talent is a spirit of collaboration, combined with patience, kindness and large doses of humour.

“They’re all genuinely lovely people, which has made the making of this piece a joy.”

The Picture of Dorian Gray is a gothic novel from 1890 written by Oscar Wilde. It follows the titular character as he grapples with addiction and narcissism.

Tickets are on sale now around the world and can be purchased from the play’s website. Audience members will receive a link to the production and a digital programme.

Education packs, which will include performance links, are also available for groups and schools at the cost of £100 per performance.
