Slaves

WHO’S IN THE BAND – Remarkably for the sound they make, there are just two members in Slaves – main vocals and frantic drumming work is provided by Isaac Holman, whilst Laurie Vincent plays the guitar and chips in with vocals occasionally.

GENRE – A raw, punk vibe; if you like the old-style punk from the 70s, you will enjoy the influences of this so clearly echoed in the duo’s songs.

WHERE ARE SLAVES FROM – Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

HOW LONG HAS THE BAND BEEN AROUND FOR – Longer than you think; many people would think that Are You Satisfied? was the first release by the duo, but in fact 2012 was the year the duo set up, and released EP Sugar Coated Bitter Truth that same year.

YOU MAY RECOGNISE THEM FROM… – With two albums under their belts, Slaves have joined the likes of groups including Sleaford Mods in revitalising the punk genre. Are You Satisfied? and Take Control were both huge chart successes, and the band also received media coverage when they announced an intimate tour celebrating the release of their second album, involving the band playing at several tiny capacity venues over the country.
