Full casting for comedy musical Rock of Ages has been announced, as the show takes its final bow in its 2023 tour.
The show is to be directed and choreographed by Nick Winston (director of Tomorrow Morning), and will begin its last run at the Peterborough New Theatre on 3 February. It will then feature at Bromley from 7-13 February, making its way to Aberdeen from 14-18 February, and appearing at other venues across the UK later this year.
Boasting over 25 rock classics, including ‘We Built This City,’ and ‘I Want To Know What Love Is,’ Rock of Ages centres on the Bourbon Room nightclub in the late 1980s, on Hollywood’s neglected Sunset Strip. When the venue comes under threat from real estate developers, manager Dennis Dupree, newcomer Sherrie Christian and aspiring rocker Drew must band together to save one of the last sanctuaries for rock and rollers in L.A..
Leading the cast is Coronation Street’s Kevin Kennedy as Dennis Dupree, alongside Sam Turrell as Drew and Gabriella Williams as Sherrie. Joining them onstage are Tim Oxbrow as Lonny, Cameron Sharp as Stacee, Natalie Winsor as Justice, and Stephanie Chandos as Regina. Morgan Lange is to be set and costume designer for the show, with lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Ben Harrison and video and projection design by Duncan McClean.
