Title: We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves
Author: Karen Joy Fowler
What I Think So Far: Nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Novel ‘We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves’ is something big indeed – not least because of it’s horrendously long title. The novel begins in quite an unusual manner; in the middle of the story. Our narrator has her reasons for this, I’m told I will find out, but it’s this topsy-turvy manner of telling a story that you’ll either love or hate. From the outset it’s inexplicably charming and relatable, as well as being funny too. Karen Joy Fowler has a wonderful writing style and has given Rosemary a delightful voice – I can’t wait to hear the rest of her tale.

Would I Recommend? Without a shadow of a doubt – although if plots that aren’t chronological give you a headache then perhaps you should give it a miss.
