She’s only 17 and fresh from the clutches of GCSEs but age holds no barriers for Billie Marten, whose ethereal songs have seen her nominated for BBC Music’s Sound of 2016 award. Songs such as ‘Heavy Weather’ have already drawn widespread critical praise and it it won’t be long before we start hearing a lot more of Marten’s name.
