LAND OF STORMS

dir. Ádám Császi

I think I’m possibly one of the only people in this country to have seen this film. I thought I was being all sophisticated by watching a Hungarian film but little did I know that it was a lot better than what I had expected. It’s essentially the Hungarian version of Brokeback Mountain but instead of two guys, there are three. It’s a great film about self-discovery, sexuality, self-acceptance and intolerance. And the ending would have Shakespeare himself up in applause. I would recommend this film to fans of World Cinema and Independent Cinema, although viewer discretion is advised. Things get pretty raunchy…..
