The tale as old as time is set to be told again as Beauty and the Beast sets off on a tour of the UK and Ireland next year.
With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and based on the screenplay by Linda Woolverton, the stage show is an adaptation of the Disney classic of the same name. The piece tells the story of a spoilt prince cursed to resemble a beast until he finds true love.
The original creative team behind the Broadway production have already signed onto the production. It is rumoured that this production will feature new designs and dance arrangements
The production will begin at the Curve Leicester for a five-week run in May and then go round the rest of the country. Further dates are to be announced this Autumn. Casting is currently underway. You can sign up here for more information and priority booking
Disney have recently made recordings of stage productions such as Tangled and Hamilton available for streaming.
