The winners of the 2024 Gayming Awards have been announced. Celebrating LGBTQ+ diversity and representation in gaming and beyond, the awards recognise achievements in various categories.

The winners of this year’s Gayming Awards were revealed on a special live stream hosted by DEERE and MiladyConfetti as part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming and across Gayming Magazine’s Twitch and TikTok, with a Spanish language co-stream by TikTok icon, Angelo Gamer. Gayming Magazine founder Robin Grey made a special appearance during the show, thanking the gaming community for their support and paying tribute to those impacted by the industry’s challenges – including recent studio layoffs.

Leading this year’s winners was Baldur’s Gate 3 with three wins – Game of the Year, the Readers’ Award and Best LGBTQ Character for Shadowheart – closely followed by Thirsty Suitors with two wins – Authentic Representation and Best LGBTQ Indie Game.

Also among the winners was Latinx In Gaming, awarded the Industry Diversity Award, and Emily “Emzii” Rose, who took home the award for Best LGBTQ+ Contribution to Esports. Receiving this year’s Gayming Icon Award is Jeremy Crawford, who was recognised for their long career in helping to grow LGBTQ+ representation in gaming, especially in the world of tabletop gaming through their work for Wizard of the Coast and the Dungeons & Dragons franchise.
