Aquarius – New NBC Drama to Air in 2015

NBC have had a knack recently of creating one of the most disgusting hours of television. Yes, am I talking about Hannibal. As much as I adore that show, I would have never thought that NBC would be supporting the mad man (but genius) that is Bryan Fuller. But it seems as though NBC have tamed to the idea of having a serial killer – albeit fictional – as the star of the show.

Now comes the tale of a real life killer, one that was (and still is) on everybody’s lips. The name is Charles Manson. Manson led what came to be known as the ‘Manson Family’, a quasi-commune that grew in the California Deserts in the late swinging sixties. A family that would then go on to commit the murders of Sharon Tate and a married couple, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca and several others. All under the order of Manson himself.

Due to air in the 2015 television season, Aquarius is an upcoming drama television series based on the origins of the Manson Family, leading up to the Tate-LeBianca murders. Set in 1967 Los Angeles, David Duchovny stars as L.A. Police Sergeant Sam Hodiak, and Grey Damon as undercover officer Brian Shafe. Unknown to them, the missing persons case that they are trying to unravel will lead them to the one and only Charles Manson.
