Alexandra Palace Theatre have announced that they will be hosting a production of the musical Sunset Boulevard on the 25th of October.
Penned by Webber in 1993, and telling the story of a fading star in the golden age of Hollywood, the show will feature a limited audience of only 300, as well as a socially distanced cast in its evening and matinee performances.
Mazz Murray, best known for playing Donna in the West End musical Mamma Mia, will be leading the cast as Norma Desmond. Other cast members include Kayi Ushe as Joe Gillis, Laura Baldwin as Betty Schaefer and Alex Bourne as Max von Mayerling. Alex Parker will be the conductor, leading a 24-piece orchestra.
The show is being produced by the Theatre Company Quick Fantastic, which previously organised the socially distanced musical show A Little Night Music which took place last August, featuring music by Stephen Sondheim.
Tickets go on sale at midday on the 25th of September.
